As part of our Toitū Carbon Zero commitment, we follow strict processes for handling refrigerants. All de-gassing is carried out in partnership with CoolSafe, ensuring refrigerants are safely removed, captured, and prevented from entering the atmosphere. This protects both the environment and the communities we serve.
Once the units are made safe, we recover valuable metals including steel, aluminium, and copper. This keeps bulky whiteware out of landfill and supports a cleaner circular economy by returning raw materials back into manufacturing instead of allowing them to go to waste.
